Excursion to the Mughal Gardens for class 1
Excursions play a vital role in enriching the knowledge of children and are always a source of joyous bonding with friends. Our School continually provides the children opportunities for fun experiences such as this during the academic session.
On February 20, 2018, School organised a trip for the children of class 1 to the Mughal Gardens as they bloomed.
The Mughal Gardens are located in the precincts of the Rashtrapati Bhawan and are open for the public once a year in the month of February to mark the onset of spring. The flora and fauna flamboyantly welcome visitors in their fragrant midst.

The children were extremely excited and filled with anticipation as they were told in the classroom beforehand about what they could expect to see. They were thus fairly familiar with the names of shrubs, creepers, climbers and seasonal flowers that they were likely to spot at the park.
The fragrant flowers and foliage and the fresh air was soon upon us as we alighted the buses and walked around. The children squealed in excitement as they spotted shrubs and flowers they recognised. Several playfully sped after scurrying squirrels and sparrows as if in a catch me if you can sport, even as we walked to the Herbal Garden, the Bonsai Garden and the Bio-diversity Park. The children were curious and enthused to know more. They volunteered the names of several of the species on display and some even commented about the hues, shapes and formations of the leaves, stems, flowers etc. as they observed. The musical fountains were another treat to the senses.
Inevitably we returned laden with sweet memories and a host of new learning.
