Mrs. Poonam Chopra Award' 13 for Pritha Ray, class 11.
There comes a time in life, a moment worth cherishing lifelong!
When I won the Mrs. Poonam Chopra award, I became aware of what a beautiful feeling it was! This moment was an extraordinary one in my life, a true memory to treasure.
Tania Maam announced that the award was for marked improvement in honour of our late Principal instituted by the Parent- Teacher- Association for students promoted to class 10. Then came the magical moment when my name was announced and suddenly everybody was looking at me!
My heart was racing as I waited for Tania Maam to hand over the trophy to me. No feelings can match the pride I felt. The wait to hold the trophy seemed to be the longest wait of my life.
Seconds seemed like hours! My nervous fingers tingled as I desperately tried to contain my excitement.
I had achieved the maximum increase in my CGPA score from amongst my entire class which is what made me eligible for this honour. I truly worked very hard and achieved what I got. Through the year I developed and practiced a regular study schedule even whilst I did not compromise on any of my co-curricular activities. I made it a point to never let them interfere with my study hours and I guess thats all you need.
I have participated in many music and debate competitions and have won laurels as well, but this wasnt just an award, it was an honour.
I was asked to speak about how I managed this improvement in my results. According to me the class 10 result is the best way to prove yourself to everybody who underestimates you
When I now see the award on my shelf the 'award- winning smile' returns to my face every time.
I know this might not be my greatest achievement in life. I aspire for a lot more in life, but it will always remain my greatest inspiration.
Pritha Ray, class 11.
