Music Workshop for classes 5-9
School had a workshop for Music on 17 April, 2013 in the auditoriumfor classes 5 to 9. The objective was to induce and motivate a larger number of children to get interested in one or other musical instrument. New theories claim that playing a musical instrument sharpens thememory, strengthens the analytical and mathematical acumen, improves reading skills, toughens concentration, promotes social skills, boosts listening skills, elevates performance and most vitally enhances happiness in your own life and in the lives of those around you. The advanced acoustics egged on by technology only elevate the advantages and the pleasures.

A large number of students took part in interacting with the guest speakers. The latter demonstrated the nuances and variations in the sounds produced by different instruments. The children listened intently and even spontaneously came forward to try a hand, as it were, on the instruments on stage. The speakers played some classical pieces for the children and then journeyed towards jazz. The excitement was palpable as the children yearned to play their part and given an opportunity they did and how! The workshop ended as a music extravaganza!
