Salutations to Mother Nature, special assembly by Pre-school, 11 September, 2012
Mother Nature has bestowed us, human beings, with incredibly beautiful nature in the form of mountains, rivers, forests and rich natural resources that have helped us to both survive and evolve.. So, now its our turn to rescue the Mother from the challenges that threaten her.
Life originated on the planet Earth .Mother Earth is now entreating us to protect her. People have become selfish and they are flattening out the beautiful forests and damning the rivers in their greed. This was the sentiment and value, sensitively presented by our little pre-schoolers at their special assembly. They showcased the different Devis in their different forms and astride the lion, cows, tortoises etc, all conveying to us believers Nd otgerwise, that we must revere these sacred vahans.
The children alsoshowcased storiesand legends from Latin America which was a delightful cache of Goddesses who had special powersof benevolence and healing.
Throughout the programme, learning got levered lovingly as the children explored the thought nudged along by their teachers. They learnt about indigenous culture and that of Latin America. Perhaps they somewhat made a link with the commonality between them. And in the process they certainly resolved that they must love and guard nature.
The special assembly was deeply appreciated by our eminent guests Ms. Ana Paula Kobe from Brazil, Ms. Claudia Aravena from Chile, Enrique Augusto Noria from Peru and our very own members of the School Managibg Committee.
