Story-telling in Pre-school, 22 October, 2013.
Agena and Capella sections : 88:30 AM,
Delphini and Hercule sections: 8:45 9:15 AM and
Kokab section: 9:30-10 AM
A morning of story-telling was presented by the students of pre-school before their parents and teachers. Each section offered a different story transporting us, adults in the audience to our own childhoods!
Agena: The Cheetah who Tried to do Everything; Capella: The Ugly Duckling; Delphini: The Hare and the Tortoise; Hercule: How the Tiger got his Stripes and last but not the least, Kokab: The Rainbow Fish.
The children in their costumes stole the hearts of the audience. The show flowed from one story to another and strung together like pretty pearls. Each story had one of the children acting the narrator and to add a little zing, each story had incorporated a short dance and undoubtedly the value embedded in the tale was learnt.

The students spoke their lines extremely confidently and did not fumble at all. Infact they were prompting their peers whose lines they also knew! Confidence and poise was not at all wanting! The props and costumes used were borrowed from the Pre-primaries who had recently concluded their annual day. Happily we practiced our belief in recycling and reuse.
