Teacher workshop at international science fest

Attending the event “Face to Face with New Frontiers of Science & Technology,” a key component of the 9th edition of the India International Science Festival (IISF) 2024 held in Faridabad on 19 January 2024, was an enriching experience! It was a fantastic opportunity to engage directly with experts and explore the latest developments in science and engineering.

Dr D K Singh, Deputy Director and distinguished scientist at ISRO, led the first interactive session, “ISRO’s Stellar Odyssey.” Learning about the challenges and triumphs in recent space exploration endeavours from a distinguished scientist like Dr Singh was incredibly insightful as understanding India’s vision in space exploration is crucial for shaping the nation’s trajectory in this field.

Prof Nagata Kyosuke, President of Tsukuba University and President of the Japan Association of National Universities, conducted the second session, “Frontiers of Healing.” He discussed advancements in pharmaceuticals, focusing on virology and molecular biology. He shared cutting-edge developments that have the potential to revolutionize the field of medicine.

The sessions not only educated but also inspired the attendees to explore new ideas, push boundaries, and contribute to advancements in their respective fields. Interactive events like these play a significant role in fostering a culture of innovation and research in India. By providing a platform for direct interaction and knowledge sharing, they contribute to the nation’s progress in science and technology.

As individuals return to their respective institutions and communities, they bring with them the knowledge, ideas, and motivation gained from these sessions, thereby contributing to the overall growth of the scientific community in India.
