Top honours at Egyptian embassy art competition

The National Centre for Childrens Culture ( Ministry of Egypt), organised an art competition-Egypt in the Eyes of the children of the World to mark its 27th year. The event witnessed participation from students across the world.

27 students of The Indian School, who were a part of this prestigious competition, were felicitated at the Embassy on 12 February 2020. The top positions were clinched by the students of The Indian School, with 4 gold and 6 silver medals!

The prizes and certificates to the winners and all the other participants were awarded by HE Dr Heba Elmarassi, Ambassador of Egypt to India.

Dr Elmarassi interacted with the students and quizzed them on their artwork and what they liked about Egypt. The young artists impressed her with their responses and she appreciated their spirit of participation and competition. She advised them on how they can portray new ideas and perspectives through the medium of art.

Dr Elmarassi lauded the sincere efforts the students had put inti their creations. The winning entries made their way into the magazine displaying their work of art.

The proud winners who bagged the gold medals were Vansh Sharma V D, Tegh Singh Johar V D, Meher Kaur VIII B and Urvi Beswal XI B.

The silver medals were awarded to Adi Ismail IV C, Ansh Singh V B, Geet Chauhan VII E, Tanisha Mehndiratta VII D, Jasleen Kaur Bajaj VIII D and Aanchal Gupta XI C.

The excited group returned to School beaming with pride and eager to share their achievements with their parents and peers!
