Webinar on Career Counselling for senior students by expert Mr Jitin Chawla

A webinar on Career Counselling was arranged for the students of classes XI and XII on 26 June 2020. The objective was to familarise the students about the different courses offered at universities located not just in Delhi, but also in other states of our country. Mr Jitin Chawla, noted resource person, engaged the students in a lively session where he discussed the upcoming career options available for these young adults.

Mr Chawla is a well known personality in the field of Career Counselling. He is the founder and director of North Indias top career counselling and study abroad firm, Centre for Career Development.

The webinar began on a light note where Mr Chawla talked about certain popular characters on Netflix, some new web series and even movies like The China Hustle, Dirty Money and CFE. Then, he directed the students attention to lesser known universities like Gautam Budh University and courses like Digital Marketing and Competitive Lingusitics. He mentioned how such courses can be helpful and lucrative in the coming years. Mr Chawla also discussed the eligibility criteria for various courses and even surprised his audience when he told them about lesser known courses offered at premier institutes like the IIT and IIIT. He spoke of Health Management and Forensic Science as promising careers and talked about the scholarships, the availability of seats and duration of such courses.

The session communicated to the students that a good undergraduate education at a affordable cost is amply available both in and outside Delhi. It greatly added to the diverse options that the students are already considering. It assured students that numerous good options can be perused and not just a particular college or choice of subject. The world is rapidly changing and we must look ahead and see what is likely to suit ones inclinations, abilities and the job opportunities available in the time to come.

The session was very informative and greatly helped students clarify their doubts regarding admission into universities. It provided knowledge about upcoming careers and relieved students of their anxiety regarding the same.
