Workshop on Effective Teaching by Mr. Premchand Palety, CEO, C-Fore

Values can only be demonstrated not preached said Mr. Premchand Palety, Chief Executive, Centre for Forecasting and Research (C fore) as he introduced a workshop on Effective Teaching at our School for all teachers on 27 June, 2013.

C fore is a multidisciplinary research organization. Mr. Palety has long experience in market research, opinion research, election surveys and performance- appraisal studies of educational institutions. An accomplished personality, has been writing extensively on education especially management education and his articles have been printed in The Wall Street Journal, Mint, Outlook, Business Today, Business Standard, Business World and Hindustan Times. In 2002 he also authored a book on the best business schools in India published by Penguin. He was also member of the National Board of Accreditation where he has contributed in revamping the accreditation methodology of higher education institutions in India. Mr. Palety has also pioneered school- ranking in India.

A vibrant and a very down- to-earth gentleman, Mr. Palety impressed his audience with his knowledge, effort and selfless approach towards enhancing education in India. He gave us an opportunity to gain from his experience and vast knowledge about novel teaching- practices adopted in India and abroad which makes teaching, both effective and innovative.

He gave us a good insight into best practices critical to make our teaching effective. He supported his suggestions with various research studies. Thinking ' out of the box', he said is imperative. An interactive session at the end offered consensus on the belief that innovative teaching practices alone will enable the expression of creativity in students.
