A workshop on the Assessment of Learning Drafting Test Items was organized on July 24, 2014, at the Shree Venkateshwar International School, Dwarka, Delhi. Ms. Rukmini Thampi represented our School to attend the day long workshop.. This programme was organized by CBSE through a training agency called the Learning Link Foundation.
The main objective of this workshop was to train teachers to effectively design question papers for classes VI to VIII with s special emphasis on Blooms Taxonomy. There were 24 teacher- participants from different schools of Delhi and NCR, namely, the Millenium School Gurgaon, Ramjas Pusa Road, Ramjas RK Puram, Shree Venkateshwar International Dwarka, The Indian Heights' School Dwarka, Bharat National Public School Gurgaon, Red Roses Gurgaon etc. We were fortunate to receive expert inputs from Ms. Meera Balachandran, a pioneer-educator.
The participants had interactive sessions where they shared experiences on the implementation of CCE in classrooms. Mrs. Balachandran explained certain best practices like the Circle Time in classrooms, Peer Learning, Role Reversal, Field Trips etc. which have already been incorporated into our classroom teaching at our School.
In the post noon session the participants were divided into subject groups and were asked to draft test items based on Blooms Taxonomy.
This workshop was extremely beneficial and enriching which will be shared soon with a larger group of our School faculty.
