Annual alumni meet over garba and dandiya raas
400 vibrant Indianities and their teachers gathered on the evening of 19 October'24 for the annual Dandiya Alumni Evening to bond once more in festivity with our students of yore. Lamps were lit on a rich carpet of salt rangoli stretching in welcome from the School gates. The evening was rich in tradition as customary on the occasion as a group of students in mirrored ethnic attire took to the floor in a circle and fell in with the rhythm of the vigorous beats of a garba. The footwork and hand movements were delicately synchronised to make for a spectacle of community, colour and rhythm. The alumni meet was a roaring success with about 200 alumni and more than 215 students from classes X, XI and XII.
As the evening progressed, teachers, students and our alumni joined in to match step with the dancers. Lively exchanges of the past, present and future with peers at School, seniors and juniors, made for animated moments of both nostalgia and anticipation.
It was a truly happy occasion for the teachers to see their loving students return to the beloved portals of their School once more and share their triumphs.
Principal Ms Joshi named Falak Rahi as president of the Alumni Club. The announcement was followed by cheers and the approval by one and all.
We greatly look forward to this tradition of celebrating with our alumni each year to reinforce the lifelong ties made many moons ago.
