Ashoka University orientation for class 12

On 10th October 2017, the students of class 12 attended a workshop by representatives of Ashoka University. Ashoka University is founded by top entrepreneurs and is affiliated with Ivy League colleges such as Carnegie Melon, Yale and Stanford Universities.

What makes Ashoka University different from the conventional universities in India is that it looks at education beyond bookish knowledge. Debate and active exchanges are the cornerstone of its method. It claims to build a skillset in students which makes them very attractive candidates for top jobs. The university also has a very promising campus and houses students from various cultural backgrounds. The university also promises an internship at an ivy league college during the summer break so that the students can learn about foreign cultures and get to interact with the professors and students of these elite colleges. The university is regularly visited by top faculties from across the world who interact with the students and are involved in the daily curriculum. Ashoka University clearly portrays the ideal education model required by the students in todays everchanging generation.

The entrance procedure is also very unique and selects students on the basis of their comfort with academic and certain soft skills. The workshop was very informative for the students who were eager to know more about this very new and unique format of education.
