The participants were divided into 8 groups of 6 members each and given handouts containing case-based and multiple-choice questions to solve. Finally, the participants were encouraged to discuss probable solutions in groups through mutual discussion. After discussion, the groups were called upon to speak about their respective activities. Each group and its members presented and explained views from their perspectives.

In another group activity, members collectively analysed case studies on errors commonly made by children whilst attempting calculations. Some of the topics most relevant were LCM, multiplication, distributive property, square roots and BODMAS rule.

The post-lunch session by Mr Rahul focused on the framing of case study based questions and MCQ in examination papers.

The speakers shared several points that teachers can follow in order to develop student interest in Mathematics. Some of these points are-

# encouraging activity-based learning

# encouraging paperless work

# making one day a bagless day

The sessions were interactive and extremely engaging. The valuable insights provided by the speakers will go a long way in helping teachers to make math classes more fun filled and delightful.
