On 12 April, 2023, the Citizenship Programme initiated peer teaching by sending students of class XI ( Hanaan Husain, Nehal Sharma, and Maryam Rehman) to a nearby MCD school in Andrews Ganj. Accompanied by their teacher, Ms. Tanuja, the students acted as peer teachers and engaged the fourth-grade children through self-made colourful posters. They taught the students how to play basketball, discussed the advantages and disadvantages of playing the sport, and explained the basic rules and regulations.
[gallery link="file" order="DESC"]This approach is expected to facilitate and enhance the engagement, communication, and independence skills of our students. Our students asked challenging questions, and the children at the host school felt at ease with their peer tutors and were not hesitant to ask for clarification.
Overall, it was a great learning experience for the students of both schools.
This coaching initiative will continue weekly until the summer holidays.
