Class 7 engages with Chintan about e waste

The Indian School in partnership with Chintan Environmental Research and Action Group  successfully conducted a workshop on e-waste management for class VIII. Over 200 students participated in the interactive session, gaining insights into the importance of responsible e-waste disposal and its environmental implications.This workshop was a part of the YES (Youth for Environmental Stewardship) project, a year-long initiative aimed at empowering students with scientific knowledge and fostering a passion for environmental action. Resource persons—Mehak, Pooja, and Abhijeet led the session, engaging students through interactive activities and group discussions.They highlighted the importance of proper e-waste disposal and encouraged students to take action towards creating a more sustainable environment.

Principal, Ms Tania Joshi, emphasised the significance of the workshop. “The session helped students realise how through individual and collective efforts, they can bring about a change in the collection and disposal of e-waste. It was an enriching interactive session for all”, she elaborated.

Chintan Environmental Research and Action Group, with over 25 years of expertise in waste management and environmental conservation, played a pivotal role in educating students about the environmental and health impacts of e-waste.
