We, the students of class 7 and the citizens of tomorrow will be a part of the election- process in the next 4 to 5 years. Naturally we were extremely excited when on 13th February 2015, we had the opportunity of an interaction with the chairman of our School, Mr. Prafull Goradia on the recent Delhi elections.
The students got an opportunity to ask questions and the chairman freely answered offering multiple perspectives. He told us about the bodies that help the government to function. Mr. Goradia, former Member of Parliament himself, explained how the Election Commission helps the elections come about smoothly.
[gallery]The reasons that helped the AAP achieve a historic win and the reasons why the other parties were no match, were also discussed. We got a broad view of this topic towards the end of the session and many of us actually thought we should enter the field of politics up when we would grow up!
