Edison Convention

On 15th December, 2015, DPS R.K. Puram organised an Inter-school Physics competition named the EDISON CONVENTION. There were four events at this competition, Debate, Quiz, Ad-dict, and Demonstration. It was a healthy competition amongst the students of 35 schools that participated in this competition. There were 11 students from our school who participated.

The programme started around 10o clock, with a speech by the Principal of the host school as well as the chief guest, Principal, Miranda House. This was followed by some mesmerising music and dance performances by the students of the host school as a welcome. The students then proceeded to their venues.

The students for the Quiz were given a sheet of questions to solve in a given time, after which those who qualified would be elevated to the second level. The students for Demonstration were asked to perform specified physics experiments and once completed successfully in would also qualify for the next level.

For the Debate one student participated as the interjector and the other as speaker. The students of Ad-dict were asked to perform an advertisement on a physics-related topic. We all learnt a lot of things and it was a wonderful experience. It was very amazing to see different schools coming up with new ideas. t was a very good experience!
