Educational Winter Excursion to Udaipur and Chittorgarh

The Indian School organised a four-day winter educational excursion to Udaipur and Chittorgarh from 3 to 7 January 2026 for 42 students of classes V to XI, accompanied by 4 teachers. The tour was thoughtfully planned to blend academic learning with recreation, reflecting School’s philosophy of edutainment. Students assembled on the School campus on 3 January and set off by bus in great enthusiasm, reaching Udaipur on 4 January morning after an overnight journey.

During their stay in Udaipur, the students explored prominent cultural and historical landmarks such as the City Palace and Saheliyon Ki Bari, where they admired the architectural splendour and gained insight into the region’s rich heritage. A knowledgeable guide accompanied the group through the excursion, enriching the experience with detailed historical narratives. The visit to Fateh Sagar Lake offered students a memorable view of a breathtaking sunset. The evenings were equally engaging, with activities such as a lively game of charades and an energetic DJ night, which encouraged interaction and camaraderie, besides a strong bonding between the students and the teachers.

On 6 January, the group proceeded to Chittorgarh, where a visit to the iconic Chittorgarh Fort was the highlight of the tour. The guide’s accounts of Rajput bravery, sacrifice, and honour left a lasting impression on the students and deepened their appreciation of India’s glorious past.

The group commenced its return, that night and reached School safely on the morning of 7 January. Overall, the excursion was a resounding success, offering a meaningful blend of historical exploration, cultural enrichment, recreation, and memories, while reinforcing the value of learning beyond the classroom.
