Over 400 students from prestigious schools of Delhi including our school, Kalka Public School, Army Public School, Summer Fields School, Laxman Public School and Father Agnels participated in this workshop.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Jitin Chawla, an eminent career counsellor and educationist who has worked with several newspapers, periodicals and news channels, previously. He shared information on various unconventional choices of career and also drew our attention to the various not so popular career choices among students. We were informed about how teaching is the most sought after profession in the USA, and how much they need teachers from India. As the workshop advanced, he talked about young entrepreneurs and the vast opportunities available in Travel and tourism, Banking, Architecture etc. Most interesting of them all was Venture Capitalists, in which one has to fund other businesses for their smooth functioning. The next speaker was Mr. Bhupender Sethi, an India based fund manager with 20 years of experience in the Indian Capital Market. We felt honoured and pleased to have an expert like him providing guidance to us. He discussed the functioning of Stock Market and how every company around us is on the Stock Market, like Hindustan Unilever, Colgate etc. He explained how students could issue shares and also elucidated upon some career options such as CFO, Investment Managers and Investment Bankers. Mr. Hanumant Sabherwal who has over 20 years of experience in the Test-prep Industry and corporate training, was our next guest speaker. He has successfully mentored the students seeking guidance for courses like, MBA, GMAT etc. He threw light upon certain techniques of cracking such exams. He also gave us some important tips for preparation of the same. An effective communicator, Ms. Smita Singh, who holds a position of merit in Accessory Design, spoke about designing as a profession. She is now a professor in Pearl Academy, Noida. Her talk was extremely informative. She talked about the vast dimensions of design. Design does not only connect to fashion but has much more to it.
