Extended classroom on Skype for class 1 C

Technology can become the wings that will allow the educational world to fly farther and faster than ever before.

A Skype session was held with Ms. Sonia Wadhwa, certified Microsoft educator and the students of The Sanskaar Valley School, Bhopal. The session was held on 4 September 2018.

Students of grade 1C were excited about what was to follow but once the introductions were done and the ice broken with some prompting, they were relaxed and chatting freely. The eagerness for the question answer session was ample as seen in the eyes of the young learners!

The session started with a general discussion about the famous temples, lakes, tourist places, monuments, etc of both Delhi and Bhopal. Also the students of Bhopal told our students that Bhopal is one of the cleanest cities of India and that they take great pride in keeping their surroundings clean and green.

The students of both schools discussed the safety rules that they had learnt and that needed to be followed at School, at home and on the road ( this was related to the EVS chapter Safety Rules). Our students also spoke about their visit to the local Traffic Training Park and how and what they were shown there.

The teacher and students of The Sanskaar Valley School were very appreciative of how much our children knew and the level of confidence they displayed!

It was a novel experience for the students of both the schools to exchange thoughts and learning across cities this way. It was fun to meet peers and share new information and discover what is common and know differences.
