Honour at Inter school art competition
The Indian School participated in an inter-school art competition held by Springdales School, Pusa Road, in memory of its Founder- Chairman, Late Shri Y. Kumar, on 29 January 2019. The event attracted talent from almost 30 prominent schools across Delhi- NCR.
The competition was divided into three categories based on different age groups-5 to 8 years, 9 to 11 years and 12 to 14 years. Our team of four participated in all the three categories - Hiba Haider II D, Peehu Kashyap IV A, Erum Fatima VIII A and Sarah Ilyas VII B. They were escorted by their art teacher Ms Simmi Kumar.
The gifted artists showcased their nascent talent in vivid styles as they painted a visual treat of colours on topics ranging from brotherhood, unity in diversity, My family to world peace and one nation. The youngest team member, Hiba Haider of class II D, was delighted to receive a special recognition prize in the primary category for her painting on world peace!
The painting festival provided an enriching and invaluable learning forum to the young participants to further hone their craft. Such experiences move and motivate young learners. They are quick to discern their strengths and weak areas and build winners out of losses and successes, for success is never final and failure never fatal!
