Honour at inter school Math festival held at DPS RK Puram

The Mathematical Society of Delhi Public School R. K. Puram orchestrated a captivating inter-school festival, 'The Mathematical Crusade,' on July 22, 2023. This event provided a vibrant platform for like-minded mathematics enthusiasts and innovators to converge, showcasing their talents. The festival encompassed a series of riveting competitions tailored for students ranging from classes VI to XII, offering an exceptional opportunity for participants to demonstrate and challenge their mathematical prowess.

The first competition, entitled 'Math-o-Kalendar,' witnessed Manha Furqan from class VIII and Kishika Assudaney from class VII unleash their artistic brilliance and creativity by ingeniously crafting a calendar for the month of July, incorporating captivating mathematical concepts.

The second event, 'Math-o-Phile-Podcast,' saw Dhairya Singh Bist of class X and Aarav Bansal from class IX securing the coveted Third Prize. Participants in this competition were tasked with creating a compelling podcast, accompanied by a dynamic PowerPoint presentation, centred around one of the given mathematical concepts. Dhairya and Aarav's winning submission delved into the realm of Quadratic Equations, shedding light on how these concepts empower aspiring entrepreneurs to optimise profits and present their ideas effectively for the show, Shark Tank.

The third competition, 'Modeil Mathematica,' was a captivating role-play where Aishi Sengupta of class VI, Japant Singh of class VII and Gauransh Kukreja of class VIII skillfully portrayed a captivating short story from the life of the Greek mathematician, Archimedes.

In the fourth competition, 'Symphonies of Math,' participants were called upon to showcase their elegance, knowledge, and musical brilliance before a captivated audience. Samridh Atri and Kabeer Luthra of class X, alongside Priyanshi Singh and Shezreen Kaur Bhatia of class IX, captivated the audience with their lyrical genius and musical aptitude, harmoniously blending self-composed songs with the application of chosen mathematical concepts.

The final competition, the '-o-neers Quiz,' put participants through a series of challenging tests, evaluating their problem-solving acumen, trivia knowledge, and critical thinking. Engaging in this thrilling event were Aviral Gupta and Suryaanshu Gupta of class XI.

In essence, these competitions not only fostered an environment of fun and camaraderie but also nurtured the students' advanced mathematical skills, fostering critical and creative thinking capabilities.
