Honour at Katha Utsav

Katha Utsav is an annual event organised by the Katha that runs several programmes to lure children from across the country to reading and books. Over the last 7 years, it has seen a participation of 1,00,000 students from more than 35,000 schools.

At Katha Utsav 2021 held between 14 November 2021 and 16 January 2022, Aditi Mishra of class XIB and Damak Saxena of class XID qualified in Final Challenge round. Their essays will be published by the Katha on its blog.

The event involved two selection rounds, where participants were to submit their best written pieces for the finalists to be chosen in a stringent process of shortlisting. After getting shortlisted in the first round, they were mentored by noted authors, Vikram Sridhar and Tauseef Ahmed in a 10-day workshop held from 5 January 2022 to 14 January 2022. They got an opportunity to learn about different writing styles and interact with peers from other schools and states of India. It was a wonderful educational experience.
