Honours at Inter school folk art competition

On 13th October, 2017. 6 students accompanied by Ms. Parul Singh attended an art competition at Heritage School. The competition was divided into 2 categories-

Category 1- Lippan work of Gujarat Category 2- Tavadi painting, also of Gujarat

The competition focused on artwork from Gujarat and the participants were given 4 hours to create and submit their entries.

In the first category, students of class 11 assembled a sample of Lippan work with the help of air drying clay/ Plaster of Paris/ Jute, Fevicol and mirrors.

In the second category, Anchal, our participant of class 9 created a sample of the prescribed folk art of Rajasthan ( Tavadi) on an earthen plate.

It was a proud moment for our School when our students won the 3rd prize in both categories. The students felt happy and motivated to work even harder to sharpen their skills at art.
