Inter school art and poetry event

The Indian School participated in an event titled Art Poetica - Dr. Prem Kirpal Interschool Art and Poetry Competition on 18th November, 2017 at the Delhi Public School, R.K Puram.

Students of classes 6 to 12 from 15 schools participated the in various events.

Blend Art ( classes IX to XII) This event involved the recitation of a poem in English on any social theme, its dramatisation its expression as a painting. Our students presented a self composed poem on the theme - Depression.

Artistic Poesy ( classes IX to XII ) In this on the spot competition, a series of pictures were given to the students to compose a ballad based on the visual input by arranging them in a sequence.

Lyrical Canvas ( classes IX to XII) This was also an on the spot drawing competition where a line from a well known poem was given to each participant through a draw of lots. Students had to draw a picture on a canvas capturing the dominant emotion of the given line with using black charcoal as the lone medium.

Inverse Rhapsody ( classes IV -VIII ) This was an on-stage competition in which a short poem /lines from a poem were given to each school. The first participant had to recite the given poem/ lines, emoting its sentiments and the second participant had to bring out a conflicting emotion.

Stage-A- Verse ( classes IX -XII) In this competition, the participants had to write a script on the given visual prompt and enact the script on stage.

Line -in- Rhyme ( classes VI - VIII) In this competition, the students had to write a limerick off stage based on a verbal input given to them on the spot and then recite it on stage.Students who participated in this event were :-
