B.F Skinner had it correct when he noted that "Education is what survives when what has been learned has been forgotten." This is especially true given the pandemic lockdown that has resulted in the closure of schools for more than a year. All academic learning is taking place online.
On 11 August 2021, the Psychology students of class 12B at The Indian School had an interactive activity with Ms Sukhmeen Kaur Cheema, Acting Principal, The Foundation School. The avid learners dressed up as renowned psychologists from around the world for this engaging session.
Students portrayed psychologists such as Sigmund Freud, Alfred Binet, Charles Spearman, Karen Horney, and many more! The activity was more fun and engaging as the young impressionists adopted diverse accents to suit their roleplay. They recited poetry, shared videos, and spoke Russian and French to make the activity unique and lively.
[gallery link="file" order="DESC"]The energetic and highly motivated students creatively explained the theories propounded by the celebrated personalities they represented. All the participants were able to learn and understand concepts more engagingly and interactively.
This activity helped break the monotony of online school and allowed students to integrate art with the subject.
Overall, the activity was an enriching experience, and the students participated enthusiastically.
