Janmashatami festivities in Pre- Primary
The Pre-Primary department of The Indian School celebrated Janamashtami on 31st August2018 in fervour and gaiety. A special assembly was conducted by PP Gemini on the occasion.
We started with a prayer which was followed by an enactment of the story of the birth of Lord Krishna and the timeless tale of Kalia Daman where Krishna overpowers the Kalia Nag. The tale teaches values of courage to fight what is evil and love for fellow beings.

The children were dressed up in colourful costume as Krishna and his gopis. The children danced to traditional folk songs associated with the occasion as festivity filled the air.
The classrooms of Pre primary were colourfully accoutred with tableaux including decorated fluted and matkis for craft.
