Our School observed Library Week from 22-26 October, 2018. There were special events and fun surprises for students of all classes. Ms. Champa Banerjee, our guest author, was invited to conduct a workshop on good reading habits for the students of class VII. Ms. Banerjee is an All India Merit scholar and a presidents gold medal awardee. Amrita and Mansi of class VII introduced the author.

Ms. Banerjee began the discussion by singing a beautiful song on weather. She mentioned how reading made a soul young. According to her, the understanding of the written word helped the mind grow and improves its ability. It also reduces stress and improves memory. Reading expands ones vocabulary and develops a persons focus and concentration. Extensive reading helps us improve our writing skills. Reading is important if we want to achieve our goals in life and lead a bright future ahead.
