Lohri celebrations in Pre primary
Lohri is one of the popular festivals of North India which marks the end of winter. This was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm on 13 January, 2020 in the Pre Primary classes at our School.
Lohri is incomplete without a bonfire, music, sweets of jaggery and peanuts. A storytelling session was held where the preschool teachers acquainted the little ones with the story of the festival.

A bonfire was lit on one side of the playfield and the children walked around it at a distance, symbolically offering goodies like puffed rice, sesame seeds and jaggery. The happy feet also tapped to some popular folk songs traditionally sung on the occasion, in thanksgiving for the abundance He has blessed. The campus resonated with the festivity and music.
Principal, Ms Tania Joshi joined the children and reminded the children of the values that come with Lohri and the importance of keeping such traditions alive.
