Edutainment based exercises in the curriculum make learning very exciting for the kindergarteners. We at The Indian School spare no effort in providing our children opportunities for holistic growth and development. Towards this end, a movie outing to a neighbourhood cinema was planned for the preschool and pre-primary students on 12 September 2019.

Ms Tania Joshi, School principal accompanied the large group of almost 260 students and 15 teachers. The short bus ride was filled with the joyful rhymes.

The Lion King is the story of a young cub, Simba, who was forced to abandon his pride after his father Mufasa was murdered by his wicked uncle, Scar. Years later, he returned as a young lion to reclaim his throne. The gripping story of the travails of brave Simba kept our cherubs glued to their seats!

The excursion was an exercise in edutainment promoting listening, speaking and social skills. An outing such as this teaches the young ones to learn to onduct themselves in public spaces, they learn to look after each other, besides absorbing the learning from the film. The dialogues in English helped the listening comprehension skills in the language.

The movie outing was a huge hit with the children. Popcorn and a drink were the cherry on the cake and immensely relished!
