Multiple Honours at inter School multi media competition

Tagore International School, East of Kailash, (in collaboration with PhotoNest), organised the fourth edition of Polaroid: 'Polaroid 4.0: Media Literacy Camp' on the theme 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', from 25 July to 27 July 2023, to encourage and celebrate young filmmakers, budding photographers, and graphic designers.

Numerous schools of Delhi and the NCR enthusiastically participated in this three-day event that aimed at providing opportunities for students to revolutionise technology through their innovative ideas.

The event was divided into several competitions and took place in both the offline and online modes. The preliminary rounds were conducted online and the final rounds at the host school. The Indianite team was escorted by their computer teachers on all days. Ms Simranjit Kaur escorted the group on Day One, Ms Tavleen Singh took them on Day Two and Ms Pooja Bahl, on the last day.

Media Literacy Camp was a three-day camp designed to gain essential skills to navigate the dynamic media landscape in today's digital age. It helped students with ideation, scripting, filming and editing to create the final film with the healp of mentors from the field of filmmaking. Ananya Pal and Tegh Singh of class IXC, Hitisha Mehta of XB and Aman Kapoor of class XIC participated in this camp and won the First prize for Best Story on Gender Equality.

Logo Designing: Mahak Mohato of class VIII-E and Manha of class VIII-A participated in this logo event and won the Third prize. The participants were provided with the prompt Ayurvedic Medicine and Company on-the-spot to work on their logos.

Music Album Art: Aadya Garg of class XII and Dishita of class XA participated in this event. Using editing software, they made a music album cover on the topic "Arctic Monkey".

Montage Making: Aarav Bansal and Ayaan Ahmad of class IX-E participated in this event. The topic "Dystopian World" was innovative and challenging. Clips and audio were provided to the participants on Discord. The challenge was to take disparate elements and transform them into a cohesive and captivating montage that transcended the sum of its parts.

Surprise: Tanmay Kumar of class XII-A participated in this on-the-spot surprise event which had been divided into two rounds. In Round One, the participants were provided a challenging forum to debate their views on Sensationalism in Mass Media. Next, there was a group discussion for an in-depth analysis of the same.

Photography: Aman Kapoor of class XIE participated in this event. With the help of the prompt light, he delved deep into the depths of his imagination to present new perspectives with finesse.

B-Roll: Amrita Arun of class XIIE, Krunal Patel of class XIA, and Aveeral Tandon of class XII-A, participated in this advertisement-making event on the theme "Fruit Shakes". They were required to create a visual context, which they did most successfully.

It was an enriching experience where the students learned about upcoming technologies and skills in the field of photography. They were delighted at the opportunity to showcase their skills on a popular inter-school platform.
