National Cadet Corps ( NCC) at School
Our School recently enrolled for the NCC. 25 students appeared in the NCC A certificate examination- ( theory and practical) on 6th and 7th February from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm and 8:30 am till noon respectively. The NCC Okhla battalion was the venue of the examination centre.
It was a first experience of its kind for our students. They were introduced to concepts like war formation, maps plotting, compass parts and types of compass, the various positions in the armed forces etc. The question paper consisted of topics like environment, Indian history, health, and sanitation. It also consisted of aspects of military skills and tactics, battle craft and weapon craft, mapping and battle formation.

The practical examination consisted of a march past in which students were asked to perform a designated drill which was followed by a viva. The individual student marched before the examiner and answered the questions asked. Officers of the battalion generously guided the young trainees. Students were thus comfortably enabled to perform and execute with the discipline and precision required.
