Peer Teaching-learning during rakshabandhan
Peer learning encourages social skills, cooperation, patience, and teamwork. Peer teaching can make learning more engaging and interactive. Children often relate better to their peers and may feel less intimidated asking questions or seeking clarification from a fellow student as compared to a teacher.
With this philosophy in mind, students of class VII-C namely Kishika Assudaney, Prabhnoor Kaur, Maryam Fatima, Nandini Sapra, and Tanmay Virmani hosted a rakhi-making session for class III on August 29, 2023.
The peer teachers started with simple instructions and then let the juniors get creative and experiment with designs. The younger children were very eager to participate in the activity. They used their imaginations to craft the rakhis, and they were really proud of the results! It took a lot of care and effort for them to demonstrate their ingenuity and skill. They developed some incredibly lovely and original rakhis. Making rakhis for their siblings made them extremely proud. These rakhis serve as a reminder of the affection and connection between sisters and brothers.
Both groups of students enjoyed an effective and engaging teaching- learning experience. This included improving their confidence of self and having a positive attitude for learning.
