Pre primary learning some enduring values through tales of Lord Ganesha
A special assembly by the kindergarten students was held on 19 September 2023 in the School auditorium, graced by Principal Ms Tania Joshi and Head Teacher- Primary, Ms Vandana Tewari. On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the assembly sought to orient the children about the enduring values that accompany the story of Lord Ganesha, including hope, abundance and well being.
The assembly also introduced the children to the severe environmental impact of traditional Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations and encouraged the use of eco-friendly materials and practices to reduce pollution and protect the environment.
The kindergarten students dressed in ethnic attire, engaged their peers with cultural performances. A skit and a heartwarming dance by the little students, added special joy to the event. Later the children recreated images of Lord Ganesh with His ladoos to emphasise the aspect of abundance and thanksgiving associated with Him.
It was heartening to see the young children being introduced to the cultural and environmental significance of this festival. The assembly mirrored the spontaneity, enthusiasm and creativity of our youngest students.
