Primary spontaneously salutes the MARS MISSION
A special assembly was conducted by the Primary on Thursday, 25 September, 2014 as a ' mangal utsav' to celebrate the launch of our very own Mangalyaan by the able scientists at ISRO.
All sections of classes IV and V promptly assembled in the morning to share all they had heard and read on the subject! They were impatient in their excitement! Some children prepared an informative write-up on the spot with the help of the teachers and read it out aloud, in parts, by turn. Ms. Pooja Bahl quickly prepared a ppt presentation for the students, graphically explaining the stages of launch of the probe.

Ms. Parvinder Kaur explained the pictures on display. This was followed by a line- up of students waiting to eagerly describe the mission. Arin of V-C gave an introduction to the Mars mission followed by Samara of V-D, who spoke about the Prime minister's proud reaction on the momentous occasion. Vaani of V-D gave us the reactions of our President and Vice- President and Vanshika of V-B spoke of what the achievement meant for us in our daily lives. Aadrita of V-B spoke about previous successful missions undertaken by ISRO like the Chandrayan, which was sent to the moon and finally Khushleen of V-B shared the information that ISRO chairman K. Radhakrishnan gave to the media.
The students also exhibited an unusual curiosity in an interactive session which followed. They were convinced that it is indeed the great pride of every Indian to join an elite group of only 3 nations with a similar success story !
Our head teacher, Mrs. Maini spoke of the importance of the the mission and encouraged the students to gather even more information about the same. She shared Mr Modis view of honouring the triumph of our scientists in a far taller way than the manner in which we rejoice the victories of our cricketers!
