PS Agena goes 'alphabet shopping'

An activity called Alphabet Shopping was conducted by Pre-School Agena on 20th September 2017. Pictures of different objects accompanied by the colourful alphabets with which the names of the objects are spelt were strung up on a ribbon in class. Each child was told an alphabet and had to 'shop' for the object that was spelt with it.

The activity was both, educating and entertaining. The little ones were smart and made sure they did judicious shopping! Each correct answer was rewarded with applause from the class and the children looked proud at having been able to pick the correct object! It was a meaningful hands'-on activity for our young learners.

By the end, the children seemed to be readily reinforced with being able to recognise the alphabets with their phonetic sounds and with objects associated with them.
