PS Hercule hosts an eco- Diwali

The Pre-primary Department celebrated Diwali on 9th November 2015, in a special way in the Liliput section. An ample floral rangoli was chalked across the floor as the children sat around busily filling up the designs traced carefully by their teachers for the purpose. They deftly picked up the differently coloured petals placed before them and cautiously laid them in the sections of the pattern. By and by, they looked on in their sweet amazement as a rich carpet emerged off their effort! The tiny tots seemed more reassured now, that

Diwali can indeed be celebrated in an eco-friendly manner without missing any fun!

Next the children presented a skit on the story of Diwali. The children had been told that Diwali marks the return of Lord Ram, Prince of Ayodhya, with Sita and brother Lakshman after 14 years in exile and after vanquishing the demon king, Ravan. The people of Ayodhya were so overjoyed that they lit trains of oil lamps along the way of the royal trio, in welcome.

Aayat of Delphini played Sita, Reyansh of Hercule played Ram and Vivan of Kokab played the role of Lakshman. Each one shone with a stellar stage presence!

The aim of an assembly is to motivate and enhance the confidence and speaking skills of each child. Keeping this in mind, the children were trained to speak a few lines independently on the importance of Diwali and how we celebrate it in an eco-friendly manner. Delisha of Agena, Hemakshi of Capella, Hiba of Delphini, Naryn of Kokab and Avni Sharma of Hercule were simply delightful as they convincingly converted us!

Rhymes relating to the festival were recited in chorus as the audience got motivated to join. Soon the festivity became fervour.
