RANGOLIS at Diwali by Pre-primary.

With Diwali round the corner, the Pre- Primary department decided to celebrate the occasion with colours and fragrance instead of fire crackers. No points for guessing how.. was rangoli time in the PP department!

Children werto excited to decorate their School as they would decorate their own homes with their moms and grand moms for the occasion.

We started off by instructing the children to take the petals off the flowers and segregate the different coloured petals, namely, red , yellow and white from the rose, marigold and chrysanthemums that we had assembled. The children were shown how each flower differed not only in colour and shape but also in fragrance and texture. As they got to work, they were prompted to share what all they did to decorate their homes for Diwali.

The tall cup candles used for enhancing the beauty of the rangoli were a gift from the children of PALNA who had visited us the previous day.

The aura created by the fragrance of different flowers was enchanting. The ambience was appropriate and the the PP department looked ready to receive, as it were, the festival.
