Report on Assembly Legends of Indian history Class IV-C

To observe Republic Day and to remember the valuable contributions made by our leaders and the students of class 4C, presented a special assembly on the legends of Indian history on 12th January 2018.

The assembly started with a musical invocation by the class choir. The audience was then welcomed by Garv and Harshika who introduced the audience to the topic of the morning. A group of children dressed as our great leaders of the freedom movement, Mahatma Gandhi, Sarojini Naidu, Mother Teresa, Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi, Bhagat Singh and others, spoke a few lines each of the invaluable contribution of each. They reminded their peers in the audience about the selfless sacrifices that made up the nation building process.

A mellifluous patriotic song sung together by the whole class followed. All the students sitting in the audience joined in, infusing the hall with new hues of patriotism.

The presentation of the children was widely appreciated and applauded by all those present.

In a discussion post the assembly, students, prompted by their teachers, reflected upon the deeper significance of the day, that is, what comprises a personal commitment to becoming a responsible future citizen.
