Rhyme recitation competition in Pre school

“The crown of literature is poetry.”

Recognising its significance, in the vibrant realm of our Pre school, the enchanting world of English Rhyme came alive in a mesmerising recitation, showcasing our nascent poets' mastery over rhythm and language. This engaging recitation competition was carefully crafted to foster a spirit of competitiveness, phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, linguistic skills, creative expression, critical thinking, creativity and confidence, leading to the holistic growth of our young scholars.

With eagerness and enthusiasm, our tiny talents took to the stage, regaling the audience with an array of engaging rhymes, carefully selected to showcase their burgeoning skills. The rhymes included 'Daddy Finger', '10 Little Fingers, 10 Little Toes', 'Red Light, Yellow Light'', Bits of Paper,' and '2 Little Hands' accompanied by headgear and vibrant props. The atmosphere was electric, filled with anticipation and delight, as each child confidently introduced themselves and their chosen rhyme, demonstrating exemplary confidence, voice modulation, expressions and actions.

The presentation was a kaleidoscope of colours, sounds, and emotions, as the children seamlessly wove together exciting props, and gestures to create a tapestry of storytelling. Even our young spectators were overcome with irrepressible fervour and harmoniously recited the rhymes in unison, creating a chorus of  delight, which served as a testament to the magic of rhymes unlocking the doors of melody, unity, active participation, imagination, and creativity. The full house participation made it a grand accomplishment.

The event was a resounding success, with each child receiving spontaneous applause.  Our judges, Ms Hasba Shamim and Ms Varening Konghay, with a keen eye for talent, carefully evaluated each presentation. They were impressed by the poise, creativity, and charm of our young presenters and commended their outstanding performances. Haroop Kaur (PS Kokab), Divija Singhal (PS
