Education, especially at an early age has a significant effect on how people form their attitudes, so what better than embedding respect for our precious environment at primary school level?
A special assembly was conducted by the students of class III B on 16th July, 2014 comprising a skit which had a message on how we must save our natural resources. The skit showcased how Man, played by Siddharth Singh, in his arrogance takes the environment for granted and exploits it ruthlessly. Angered by his reckless behaviour the river, mountain, forest, land and Mother Earth ( played by Riddhi Anand, Prayansh Markande, Krish Kaushal, Aryan Das and Yahvi Rishi respectively) seek the help of a lawyer played by Anthariksh Nair, to knock at the door of justice. When Man is summoned before the judge, he shows no remorse. Instead he asserts that it is his right to use the natural resources exactly as he wishes! However he is horrified by the accusations leveled against him.

The judge played by Aveeral Tandon then reprimands Man sternly for his actions and the latter soon accepts his fault. He then vows to mend his ways and to guard the environment for the future.
The assembly concluded with a Citizenship pledge taken by all students to keep their School, their society and environment clean. Together we also sang a specially composed song on the subject of Save the Earth. The audience happily hummed along.
