Shri Tech 2014, an inter-school technology quiz was held at Shri Ram School. The event covered all aspects of technology, including popular new 'apps', innovative and revolutionary new products and the magnificent history of the IT world.
Three students of class X-B, Prakhar Gupta, Pulkit Goel and Mayank Wadhwani represented our School at the event and participated in the senior category of the quiz held at the Senior campus on Moulsari Avenue, Gurgaon on 16th October, 2014.
Three students of class V, Samaara Ravish of class V-D, Auro of class V-B and Sarvagya Puri of class V-A participated in the junior category, held at their Vasant Vihar campus on 17th October 2014.
[gallery columns="2"]The quiz covered relevant content areas such as IT Concepts, Computer Science, Logos, Websites and Portals, Invention and Discoveries and Telecom Products.
The distinguished guests at the quiz were Mr Rajiv Makhani, widely known as Indias Tech Guru. He hosts an array of tech shows on television including Gadget Guru, Cell Guru; Mr. Saket Modi, popularly named Indian Firewall and Indian Ambassador of Cyber security in Education' , the latter by Chairman of AICTE at the National Education Awards in 2013; also present was Mr Kunal Sarvarkar, an architect and a quizmaster with an experience of 15 years. He has been content- editor for the popular game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati.
The quiz format was same for the senior as well as the junior categories. The quiz was conducted in 3 semi-final rounds by Kunal Sarvarkar, where 19 schools participated in the senior category and 16 teams in the junior category. Some participating schools were Army Public School, Delhi Public School, Rohini, Tagore International School, Sanskriti School, Shri Ram School, Aravalli, etc. It was an invigorating exercise of our grey matter in the area we live, namely IT.
