Skype classroom with Vietnamese peers for class 7
On 29 August 2019, the students of class VII of The Indian School got a wonderful opportunity to interact with the students of a private school in Hanoi, Vietnam in a 30-minute classroom Skype session.
The students assembled in the School computer lab for the session. They were extremely excited as it was their very first Skype interaction and their eagerness to know about the Vietnamese people, their leaders, culture, cuisines, festivals and places was evident from their faces!

The two schools engaged in a cultural exchange by familiarising each other about their respective countries. Our students displayed placards on the various Indian festivals, cuisines and dance forms. They also told the Vietnamese students about our rich heritage by showing them placards of various historical monuments. Students on the other side were elated to see a placard of the Taj Mahal as they recognised it as one of the wonders of the world! They also asked questions about our capital city and its climatic conditions.
At the end our students sang the song Hum sab Bhartiya hai! The excitement was visible on the other side as the Vietnamese children stood up and clapped along with the song and music!
