Soccer Youth Development workshop

On 3rd March 2016, a workshop on Soccer Youth Development was organised at the Sports' Authority of India at the Nehru Stadium.

The workshop was attended by the Chief Project Director, of the upcoming Under 17 (boys) FIFA World Cup. Others present were Mr. S.S. Hakim, Director, Sports' Authority of India, Treasurer of the Delhi Soccer Association and the coaches of the various clubs and schools.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Dariusz Kubici, a former Polish soccer player. A long list of achievements is attached to his name. He was coach of the UEFA Champions' League. He was also a part of the Poland squad in the 1986 FIFA World Cup. Presently, he is coach of the upcoming Under- 17 Poland soccer team.

He enlightened all the members who attended the workshop on the importance of soccer in youth development and how this game can make a difference to the young generation.

Mr. Kubici gave incisive insights on the craft of analysing the game in all its facets. It is critical to identify problems and thus avert them. He explained how an effective training session can be planned so that the tactical components become optimal.

The workshop provided important learning and will surely be of great help whilst training the teams at our School.
