The class assembly on " Science in Everyday Life" was presented by class IIIA on 9 August, 2023.

The event was a delightful and informatively showcased the wonder of science in our daily lives. Held in the school auditorium, it garnered a strong attendance of students from all the five sections of class III. The assembly began with an enthusiastic welcome by Tanish, who set a positive tone for the event with his cheerful greeting. He expressed heartfelt gratitude for everyone's presence and emphasised the integral role of science in shaping our daily experiences.

Arihaan, the next presenter, captured the audience's attention with an engaging presentation on Dr Homi Bhabha, the world renowned Indian scientist. Arihaan highlighted Dr Bhabha's profound contribution to science and technology in India. The audience gained insights into Dr Bhabha's role in establishing India's atomic energy programme and his visionary approach towards scientific research.

Hyrln took centre stage to first share the thought for the day that encouraged everyone to embrace the marvels of scientific exploration and its profound impact on our lives.Thereafter, she read the news, sharing captivating snippets of the latest science news, fostering a spirit of curiosity among the audience.

Jhanvi presented the weather report, demonstrating the scientific methods to predict weather conditions. Her insightful presentation underscored the significance of meteorology in our daily routines, enabling us to plan outdoor activities and make informed decisions.

The highlight of the assembly was the live science experiments performed by Alisha and Vihaan. Alisha engaged the audience by demonstrating the concept of air occupying space an often overlooked notion in our daily lives. She crumpled a paper napkin and placed it in a glass of water, showing that it remained dry, illustrating the principle of air pressure. Next, Vihaan conducted the experiment to explain the concept of buoyancy. He demonstrated how a lemon floats in salt water but sinks in regular water, highlighting the effects of varying densities and emphasising the role of salt in altering water's properties. Both experiments were educational and interactive, engaging the audience and sparking curiosity. Alisha and Vihaan's explanations of the scientific principles underlying their experiments were easily comprehended by all.

The assembly left the audience with a sense of wonder and appreciation for the pervasive role of science in our daily lives. The students of class IIIA were successful in conveying that science is an intrinsic part of our surroundings, shaping our world and enriching our understanding of the universe.
