Special Assembly on Baisakhi by class V-B.
Keeping with the tradition of celebrating all festivals with fervour and gaiety and introducing the children to their rich culture and heritage a special assembly was conducted on Baisakhi by class by VB on Friday 17th April2015.
The children were explained the importance of this festival by Bhavjus, who said that Baisakhi is not only a harvest festival but also a very auspicious day. On this day Guru Gobind Singh established the 'Khalsa Panth'. The children then sang a specially composed song, 'The New Season. The music music was written by Aparajita.

Punjabi folk dance performed to beats of the dhol by the children and choreographed by Madhav Sir added to the excitement. It was a treat to see the children dressed in traditional Punjabi attire. The young performers sang 'Aayee Baisakhi and attempted the Bhangra in great delight! The well-rehearsed and synchronised song was the effort of our music teacher Sanjeev Sir. The assembly was a spontaneous example of team work by the students and teachers, enabling a good show, where each child got an opportunity to showcase his/her talent on stage.
