Basant Panchami is an auspicious occasion to mark the onset of Spring. The observance of such occasions are important
to ingrain amongst our children, an awareness of the significance of our traditions and the timeless values that accompany them.
A special assembly was held on 1st February 2017 by Pre-primary Vega to celebrate this festival. The assembly commenced with the rendition of the Saraswati Vandana by the children, to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of learning. As buds to appear and bloom as the sun changes course in this season, an unusual way was sought to observe the event.
A fashion show was set up by the teachers, where our little ones dressed as flowers staged a mini pageant to lively beats.
The assembly brought smiles on the faces of those watching and the fragrance of our delightfully ' fresh flowers' wafted wide.
