Special assembly on Safety by Pre- primary Vega
PP-VEGA presented the significance of safety rules on the brisk winter morning of 18 December, 2013. Little Ananya Arora, introduced the concept of 'safety rules' followed by her classmates of PP Vega, who came forward by turn and spoke a few lines on the ways one can be safe at home and outside.
The children spoke about road safety rules along with rules to be followed by pedestrians as well as those who commute by car or bus.
Emphasis was laid upon the fact that all of us should follow these rules while using the school bus, or when traveling with our parents or while crossing the road. It was a very reassuring sight to see the children confidently speak the lines as they held the mike.

Attractive props were used as the various symbols that we see on the road; a cutout of a bus with children was used to indicate what NOT to do while on board. The audience, which were the PS and PP children sat to attention observing each sign/symbol carefully.
The assembly ended with a rhyme, as a reinforcement, which the audience and the children on stage repeated in enthusiasm. Several children were very animated and loudly exclaimed the key words learnt, as they sang along!
