As always assemblies are an interactive medium of facilitating learning. In this case the theme was Seasons and carried the message that all seasons are beautiful for the person who carries happiness within.
The children were divided into 5 groups by the seasons; Spring, Summer, Monsoon, Autumn and Winter. Each season was led by a child who spoke a few lines describing the season with articulation and poise. Each group by turn narrated a few lines on what the season they represented comprised and followed it by a rhyme. Delightfully, every child performed enthusiastically.
[gallery link="file"]The children held up flash cards and some also donned headgear. They looked colourful and came across very confident. In fact the speakers and the children in the audience equally enjoyed the session and spontaneous response resounded through the little audience! way.
As a recap activity, there were five boxes kept on tables, representing the five seasons. Each class had two participants, one was asked to pick a picture from the main box for example, a picture of children carrying an umbrella and in turn he/she had to drop the picture in the rainy- season box. The same procedure was conducted until all the ten sections of Pre school and Pre primary had a chance. In the end, all participants were rewarded with toffees!
