SPLASH-inter school solo dance event

On 26 October 2018, Don Bosco School held SPLASH 2018-ansolo dance competition. The event received participation from various schools across Delhi.

Ms. Sanchita, noted Odissi dancer and Ms. Suparna Krishna, film and TV actor were the judges. Fr. Babu Varghese, Rector and Principal of Don Bosco School, welcomed the judges and the guest of honour, Fr. Juan Pablo Abreu. The event started with a lamp lighting ceremony. The host Principal then spoke on the importance of dance and the relationship between dance and life. Around 20 schools participated in this competition.

The event was divided into two categories. Category I was for students of classes III-V and category II included students of classes VI-VIII. Participants could perform either classical or any form of western dance. The time limit was each performance was 3 minutes. Ananya Arora of class V-C and Ananya Raut of class VI-D participated in this competition in category I and category II, respectively. Ananya Arora of class V-C performed on the song "Moksha" whereas Ananya Raut performed on the song "Vande Mataram". Both chose Odissi.
